Senior Acquisitions Analyst - Commercial Real Estate

The Senior Acquisitions Analyst is responsible for supporting the Acquisitions and Development departments with financial underwriting and analysis of prospective real estate investments including acquisitions, dispositions and property development projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Transactions department’s representative to Acquisitions and Development.
  • Develop underwriting models and assumptions for analysis of acquisitions and developments prior to contract.
  • Prepare detailed analysis of properties in the pipeline which includes operating and financial statements, tenants, leases, taxes and insurance.
  • Perform initial market research including anchor tenant credit reviews.
  • Analyze financial performance of potential and current properties, leases and developments.
  • Assist in preparation of financing packages relating to acquisitions.
  • Respond to lender and appraiser inquiries and information requests.
  • Manage workflow of each project from the initial underwriting through letter of intent and following through on the transition of projects under contract to the transactions team.
  • Complete scenario analysis for the leasing department to project returns of potential lease transactions.
  • Support Acquisitions, Development or Leasing Departments with ad hoc financial analysis as requested.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Real Estate required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate valuation and analysis required.
  • MS Office experience including a high proficiency with Excel required.
  • Experience with Argus required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
